Creating Hope, Raising Awareness, and Supporting those affected by CRPS.

HEY, I'M MILLER

I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) when I was 10 years old.

I used to be a normal 10 year old girl who loved to play golf, basketball, volleyball and spend time with friends. Until one school day in November of 2013, my life flipped upside down from a friendly game of basketball at recess. Within a blink of an eye, my leg was in excruciating pain. Little did I know, I would never get to shake this pain away.

Although living with CRPS has been hard, it has helped me find my purpose in life. The pain forced me to fight for the life I never thought I would have. Now, I get to make an impact, bigger than myself, by giving back to the Complex Regional Pain Syndrome community and sharing my story to help others find hope.

MILLER KERR, FOUNDER OF BURNING HOPE, IS A BEACON OF STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE, RISING ABOVE THE CHALLENGES OF CRPS TO EMPOWER, INSPIRE, AND TRIUMPH.

What is CRPS?

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is an abnormal nerve condition caused by an overreaction to pain signals that the nervous system can’t shut off. CRPS is ranked highest on the McGill pain scale, and unfortunately has no cure.

GET INVOLVED

Burning Hope’s Blanket Project

November is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Awareness Month. Burning Hope will provide handmade, no sew fleece blankets through The Blanket Project to comfort kids suffering from CRPS or other pain-afflicting diseases. These blankets will be provided to children in pain programs at the Cleveland and Mayo Clinics and the Children's Hospitals of Philadelphia, Seattle, and Dallas.

Burning Hope diligently spearheads two annual events that have become integral to our yearly schedule. The first event, 'Walk Strong', is held each April and serves as a beacon of resilience and empowerment. Later in the year, we host the 'Blanket Project' every November, providing comfort during the winter season.
